Who we are

Ryan Tinsley operates simplybetter.ai. We decide how and why your personal data is processed, which makes us the data controller. You can reach us at support@simplybetter.ai.

What we collect and why

• •Website address and business category you submit — to crawl your existing site and generate a redesign preview. Legal basis: performance of a contract / steps taken at your request.
• •Email address — to give you access to your preview, send your rebuild link, order confirmations and delivery notices. Legal basis: contract performance.
• •Content extracted from the website you submit (text, images, contact details published on it) — to generate your new site. Legal basis: contract performance.
• •Order and account details (plan chosen, order status, correspondence) — to deliver and support your purchase. Legal basis: contract performance.
• •Support messages — to answer your questions. Legal basis: legitimate interests in supporting customers.
• •Usage and technical data (pages viewed, device type, IP address, error logs) — for security, fraud prevention, abuse rate-limiting and product improvement. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• •Marketing emails, where you opt in — Legal basis: consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

Who we share data with

• •Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of our products, payments, billing, invoicing and tax compliance.
• •Service providers and subprocessors that host our platform, store data, generate content and images, deliver email, and provide analytics and support tooling.
• •Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants where necessary.
• •Authorities and regulators where we are required to do so by law, or to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some of our providers are located outside the UK and EEA. Where personal data is transferred internationally we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK/EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

Previews and their extracted content are kept for up to 12 months from creation so you can return to them, then deleted or anonymised. Order and billing records are kept for as long as required for accounting and tax purposes, normally seven years. Support correspondence is kept for up to three years.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also complain to your local data protection supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage, access controls and least-privilege administration. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and review it regularly.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage needed to run the site, keep your session and remember your preview. We may use privacy-friendly analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential cookies are required for the site to work.

Changes

We may update this notice. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with a revised date.
